PVC Steel Wire and Fibre Composite Hose
PVC steel wire and fibre composite hose is a high-performance reinforced hose combining a steel wire helix with multiple layers of synthetic fibre braiding or spiral yarn. This dual-reinforcement construction provides exceptional burst strength, full vacuum resistance, and working pressures up to 300 PSI while maintaining PVC’s lightweight flexibility. The transparent or coloured PVC tube/cover offers excellent chemical, abrasion, and weather resistance.

Product Details – PVC Steel Wire and Fibre Composite Hose
Application
Designed for medium to high-pressure suction and discharge of water, mild chemicals, abrasives, slurries, granules, and air. Common uses: industrial pump lines, chemical transfer (dilute acids/alkalis), slurry handling, mining dewatering, agricultural sprayers, construction site water supply, and pneumatic conveying systems.
Construction
• Tube/Cover (integral): High-quality flexible PVC – smooth, non-toxic bore, UV-stabilized, oil- and abrasion-resistant. Transparent or coloured (blue, red, green, black) options available. FDA-grade available for food contact.
• Reinforcement (dual-layer):
◦ Primary: High-tensile synthetic polyester or nylon fibre braiding/spiral yarn – provides pressure resistance, burst strength, and dimensional stability.
◦ Secondary: Heavy-duty galvanized steel wire helix (embedded or over-braided) – provides full vacuum resistance, kink prevention, and crush protection.
• Cover characteristics: Smooth or semi-smooth outer surface; flexible yet tough; resistant to weathering and ozone.
Performance
• Working Pressure: Up to 300 PSI (20 bar) depending on size and construction; common ratings: 150 PSI, 250 PSI, 300 PSI
• Burst Pressure: 3–4 x working pressure
• Vacuum Rating: Full vacuum (29 in Hg) – steel helix prevents collapse under strong suction
• Temperature Range: -5°C to +65°C (23°F to +150°F) – extended range available with special compounds
