Application
Designed for light to medium-duty suction and delivery of water, mild chemicals, air, and light slurries. Common uses: garden and irrigation pumps, swimming pool vacuum hoses, marine bilge pumps, construction site water removal, industrial vacuum lines, agricultural fertilizer/chemical transfer, and general fluid handling.
Construction
- Tube/Cover (integral): Flexible, high-quality PVC – smooth bore for unrestricted flow, transparent or translucent for visual inspection. UV-stabilized, water-resistant, and resistant to mild chemicals.
- Reinforcement: Rigid PVC spiral helix (embedded in the wall) – provides vacuum resistance, prevents kinking, and maintains round bore under suction.
- Cover characteristics: Smooth or slightly ribbed outer surface; flexible and lightweight.
Performance
- Working Pressure: Up to 150 PSI (10 bar) for smaller diameters (¾”–2”); larger sizes typically 40–100 PSI
- Burst Pressure: 2–3 x working pressure
- Vacuum Rating: 25–29 in Hg (depends on size and helix gauge) – suitable for most light suction applications
- Temperature Range: -5°C to +60°C (23°F to +140°F) – avoid hot liquids or freezing conditions
