PVC Fibre Reinforced Suction Hose
PVC fibre reinforced suction hose is a lightweight, medium-duty hose designed for water, light chemicals, and air transfer under suction and low-pressure conditions. Reinforced with high-tenacity polyester or nylon fibre braiding between inner and outer PVC layers, this hose provides excellent burst strength, kink resistance, and dimensional stability without the weight of steel wire.

Application
Designed for suction and delivery of water, mild chemicals, air, and light slurries in light to medium-duty applications. Common uses: garden and irrigation pump intake lines, industrial vacuum systems, agricultural sprayers (fertilizers, pesticides), compressed air lines, fuel transfer (diesel/petrol – check compatibility), pneumatic tools, and general water supply lines in workshops or construction sites.
Construction
- Tube (inner layer): Smooth, flexible PVC – excellent flow characteristics, non-toxic, resistant to scale and corrosion. Available in clear or translucent for visual inspection.
- Reinforcement: High-tensile synthetic fibre braiding (polyester or nylon) – tightly woven between inner and outer PVC layers. Provides pressure resistance, burst strength, and prevents hose swelling under pressure.
- Cover (outer layer): Flexible PVC – smooth or semi-smooth surface, UV-stabilized, oil- and abrasion-resistant. Available in clear, blue, red, green, black, or yellow for color-coded applications.
Performance
- Working Pressure: 150 PSI (10 bar) for most diameters; heavy-duty grades up to 250 PSI
- Burst Pressure: 3–4 x working pressure (450–600 PSI)
- Vacuum Rating: Moderate suction capability (approximately 20–25 in Hg) – not recommended for full vacuum; use steel wire reinforced hose for high vacuum applications
- Temperature Range: -5°C to +65°C (23°F to +150°F)
