PVC Grit Hose
PVC grit hose is a heavy-duty, abrasion-resistant hose designed for suction and discharge of highly abrasive materials including sand, grit, gravel, shot blasting media, and slurries. Constructed from tough, flexible PVC with a rigid steel wire helix or high-density PVC spiral, this hose provides full vacuum resistance, kink protection, and excellent durability.

Product Details – PVC Grit Hose
Application
Designed for heavy-duty transfer of abrasive solids and slurries. Common uses: sand and grit blasting supply lines, industrial vacuum truck suction, concrete batching plants, shot peening, foundry sand recovery, aggregate re-handling, slurry pumping, and dredging of sandy materials.
Construction
- Tube (inner layer): Extra-thick, highly abrasion-resistant clear or translucent PVC – smooth bore minimizes friction and particle buildup. Formulated to withstand repeated impact from sharp particles.
- Reinforcement: Heavy-duty galvanized steel wire helix (or rigid PVC helix in all-PVC versions) – embedded in the wall or between layers to provide full vacuum resistance, crush protection, and kink resistance.
- Cover (outer layer): Flexible, thick PVC – UV-stabilized, oil- and abrasion-resistant. Smooth or semi-smooth finish for easy cleaning. Wear indicator options available.
Performance
- Working Pressure: Up to 100 PSI (7 bar) for smaller diameters; larger sizes typically 50–75 PSI
- Burst Pressure: 2–3 x working pressure
- Vacuum Rating: Full vacuum (29 in Hg) – steel helix prevents collapse under severe suction
- Temperature Range: -10°C to +65°C (14°F to +150°F)
Available Sizes
1” to 10” (25 mm – 250 mm) ID, standard lengths 10 m, 20 m, 30 m, 50 m (or 30 ft, 60 ft, 100 ft, 165 ft). Heavy-duty wall options available.
